Young Marketeers have done it again
Ten schools from Southwark and beyond spent a splendid day in the sunshine at Borough Market yesterday as part of our Young Marketeers programme.
Rhubarb, carrots, berries and salad were front and centre - all a celebration of wonderful summer produce. Our young marketeers raised a whopping £475 for FareShare which will make 1,900 meals for vulnerable families across London.
They even made it on London Live! See them in action below.
Our thanks to Borough Market for hosting us and to United St Saviours Charity for their continued support of this wonderful programme.
In other news ...
This week, primary and secondary school students from across the capital will be setting up shop to sell their school-grown veg to the public.
