Young Marketeers Harvest Sale
Twelve schools from Southwark and beyond spent a splendid day in the sunshine at Borough Market as part of our Young Marketeers programme.
Pumpkins, squash and beetroot were front and centre at the second sale in this programme - this time to celebrate harvest. Our young marketeers raised a whopping £310.48 for FareShare and sold out of their hone-grown produce by 1pm. Visitors Simon Hughes MP and Blue Peter Gardener, Chris Collins were on hand to inspect the veg and Roast's chef, Marcus Verberne, left the market laden with produce for his kitchen.
Our thanks to Borough Market for hosting for a third year and to United St Saviours Charity for their continueed support of this wonderful programme.
