Young Marketeers in action!

3 July 2014

Our Young Marketeers did us proud at Borough Market!

Children from 12 schools harvested and sold their fruit and veg to an enthusiastic crowd which included the Mayor of Southwark, Rosie Boycott, Chris Collins and Roast's head chef, Marcus Verberne who was on the lookout for ingredients for lunch!  The children raised a whopping £355.84 for FareShare and sold out in just two hours. Excellent work Young Marketeers!  In October, the second group of 12 schools will return for more of the same! A big thank you to Borough Market and United St Saviour's Charity for making this project possible.
