New year, new term, new competition!

5 January 2015

Welcome back! To start the new term we've launched an exciting competition in partnership with The Edible Garden Show.

The competition is now open to schools in London and the Home Counties with entries to be completed by Friday 13 February 2015. “Grow your own lunch” challenges schools to create two recipes for a delicious two-course lunch and to consider how key ingredients are grown. The competition will be a useful curriculum activity for schools contributing to numeracy, literacy, cooking, growing, science, enterprise and design.

Celebrity judges include BBC TV gardeners Pippa Greenwood and Chris Collins and chef, forager and wild food expert, Mark Lloyd. One winner and two runners up will receive amazing prizes from Morrisons Let’s Grow. And there's an additional prize from our friends at Food Growing Schools London to reflect this term's campaign "Grow around the World".
