The new school food standards

17 June 2014

This is an exciting day for SFM as we worked hard with the School Food Plan to ensure that standards remained and would be mandatory in all schools.

From June 2014, all schools, including academies and free schools will need to comply and those academies not covered by legislation will be asked to sign a voluntary agreement. The new standards are clear and concise and with the guidance notes will help schools deliver nutritious and delicious school meals. You can find out more on the School Food Plan website. The new school food standards are here.
