From 9-13 November, the NACC will be raising the profile and awareness of the vital National Meals on Wheels service.

From 9-13 November, the NACC will be raising the profile and awareness of the vital National Meals on Wheels service. For over 70 years, older and vulnerable people who have difficulty shopping or cooking for themselves have recieved invaluable nutritious meals and regular social contact.

However one third of councils nationally no longer provide the Meals on Wheels service with many local authorities cutting back to only weekly or fortnightly delivery of frozen meals, or are offering vouchers for local supermarkets or takeaways.
