Jamie Oliver's Child Health Levy

We're really pleased to hear that the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group is to impose a 'child health levy' on all sugary soft drinks.

The levy will raise money to fund food education programmes and health initiatives. Our friends at Sustain will be helping to set up the Children's Health Fund and will be working to recruit other restaurants to support the fund. Nice work Jamie and thanks for leading the charge! DfE has updated guidance for schools on free school meals during school closures. First port of call is always your school caterer. If your caterer is unable to support, the voucher scheme is explained and DfE has settled on £15 per child per week.
