Free school meals and Universal Credit
The consultation on eligibility for free school meals under pupil premium closes today and we're urging the DfE to make FSM available to all families receiving Universal Credit.
Over 5000 people have responded to The Children's Society's campaign action to make school meals free for every child living in poverty. Our friend and school food ambassador, Tim Baker gave a headteacher's view on BBC News saying that the proposed scheme would be complicated to manage and confusing for parents.
