"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth”

When nearly half of all 15 year olds in the UK have tooth decay in their permanent teeth, those two front teeth are clearly in danger. Should we really be handing out free cans of Coke for Christmas?

At SFM we think not, which is why we have joined 82 signatories, including Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Baroness Boycott, 27 local areas and 44 national organisations, and signed an open letter to Coca Cola UK urging them to refrain from giving out free cans of full sugar Coke during the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour. 

You can read the letter co-ordinated by our friends at Sugar Smart here and join the campaign by signing this petition calling on Tesco and ASDA to review hosting the truck in future years and to ask them to call on the Coke Truck not to hand out sugary drinks this year.

Our response to the consultation on energy drinks

Thank you for responding to our survey on energy drinks. With our partners at Children's Food Campaign we've been able to draw a very clear conclusion; teachers support a ban on sales of energy drinks to children and young people.
