Cooking Ideas was devised in 2009 with award-winning chef, Tom Aikens.
This programme has continued to flourish thanks to the growing number of chefs who, along with Tom, donate their time and ingredients to run a session that ultimately inspires students to get excited about food and cooking. Sessions take place either in schools or at the chef’s restaurant.
The chefs we work with share our passion to encourage young people to understand where food comes from and develop new cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen. The sessions offer students the opportunity to try new foods and learn about the importance of using sustainable ingredients. Cooking Ideas also opens the students’ eyes to the many exciting career opportunities that the food industry offers, aiming to inspire the next generation of chefs.
