Food policy

We believe that school food should be a consistent and non-partisan priority for government. We use our real-world experience of working in schools to strengthen our campaigns on children’s health, access to nutritious school meals and food education.
The challenges
Government leadership in school food is lacking therefore food policy in schools is unclear and implementation is often confused
Government actions set out in the School Food Plan and Childhood Obesity Plan have not been implemented
Healthy eating in schools is a consistent and non-partisan priority for government
